Set on the edge of the Peak District, Bradstones and Weathericks are two beautifully presented, luxury self-catering cottages. Overlooking the historic market town of Wirksworth, the cottages provide an excellent base for a holiday in the Peaks, famous for its stunning scenery.

Both cottages have been awarded 5 stars and gold awards by the English Tourist Board plus the Walkers Welcome and Cyclists Welcome awards so you can book with confidence, knowing that your walking and cycling needs will be met. For birdwatchers the cottages are ideal with regular visitors including woodpeckers, tits, finches and sometimes Jays. You can always spot the occasional buzzard or our local peacock - Mr Darcy.

The surrounding area is ideal for walking, cycling, climbing, wildlife or general site-seeing. Dovedale, Bakewell and Chatsworth House are all within the local area as well as Carsington Water Reservoir which is visible from the cottages. For the more adventurous, Alton Towers is a half hour drive away.

Derbyshire boasts a wealth of excellent pubs and restaurants for meals out or if you prefer, why not buy direct from the local farm-shops and producers nearby. Relax and dine outside your cottage on a warm evening, take in the views and make use of the barbeque and games room onsite.

Former barns, the renovated cottages sit alongside Windmill Farm. The cottages are at the end of a private drive with expansive views across the farmland down to Wirksworth to the southeast and Carsington Water to the southwest. Guests have access to the surrounding fields to join the numerous public footpaths nearby.

The farmland is only used for grazing and hay-making now but some of the old buildings remaining in tact. Recently, wildlife photography hides have been positioned within the fields offering visitors with an eye for photography, the chance to take images of the wildlife that visits the farm.
