By public transport

Be green and take the train!  From London St. Pancras to Wirksworth with East Midlands Trains and Ecclesbourne Valley Railway - Jean will meet you at the Station and bring you to your holiday cottage.

From the Northwest

Leave the M6 at Junction 16. Take the A500 to Stoke. In Stoke pick up the A52 to Ashbourne. In Ashbourne take the B5056 direction Wirksworth/Carsington Water. After approx. 7 miles turn right at Godfreyhole (signed Wirksworth, Light Traffic Only). After 200 yards turn right into Windmill Farm. Your cottage is up the drive on the left.

From the Southwest

Leave the M6 at Junction 15. Take the A500 to Stoke. In Stoke pick up the A52 to Ashbourne. In Ashbourne take the B5056 direction Wirksworth/Carsington Water. After approx. 7 miles turn right at Godfreyhole (signed Wirksworth, Light Traffic Only). After 200 yards turn right into Windmill Farm. Your cottage is up the drive on the left.

From the North/Northeast and South/Southeast

Leave the M1 at Junction 28. Take the A38 (direction Derby). After approx. 6 miles leave the A38 and take the A610 to Ambergate (direction Matlock/Bakewell). At Ambergate turn right at the T Junction on the A6 (direction Matlock). After approx. 5 miles turn left at the lights in Cromford on the B5036 signed Wirksworth. In Wirksworth turn right just before the pedestrian crossing at the Hope and Anchor pub. Continue up the hill and after 1½ miles turn left into Windmill Farm. Your cottage is up the drive on the left.

Notes: Your key will be in the door or alternatively with Mrs Hurdle in the main farm house at the top of the drive. Arrival should be after 3 pm – Departure before 10 am.
